Summary
Alex is a business performance coach and knowledgeable
business development consultant with successful hands-on
experience of running and developing small and large businesses. He
works with clients on a broad range of business performance
and growth issues, as well as acting as a business mentor
to the owner/managers of a number of start-up companies
throughout Sussex. As part of his voluntary activities,
Alex works as an adviser for awell-known national advice
organisation.
Past Experience
Alex has had 24 years of very successful business experience,
including senior general and commercial management positions
in BP's petrochemicals and plastics businesses. During
this time he doubled the profitability of a £25m
turnover company in 18 months, and designed and implemented
a 12-month £25m profit turnaround programme for
a £350m turnover business. He has also held
important positions in finance, business development,
strategy, and
research & technology throughout his career.
Qualifications
Alex has a DPhil. in Chemistry from Oxford University,
and during the course of his career has been involved
in a wide range of leadership, marketing, negotiating,
sales and other development programmes. He is also
a graduate of JMW's The Leader of the Future® programme
which enables senior managers to produce extraordinary
business results. Alex is a fluent German speaker.
